About the Author
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts and raised in the suburbs of Swansea, Neal Dias was a product of a single parent household. After he lost his mother at eight years of age in a car accident, his father (a hard working shipping and receiving manager) was forced to raise him and his younger brother on his own. Dias, a leader with strong conviction and an independent child, eventually gave into the pressure of belonging. With plenty of freedom to make his own decisions, he was eventually was engulfed with pressure to do drugs and hanging with the wrong crowd. After several overdoses and the addiction to drugs, Dias had to make some hard choices to save his life all without his closest family and friends ever knowing. This journey of strength, courage, determination and a fight for survival, Dias tells a gripping story of overcoming the toughest battle of his life.
