(PRWEB) September 27, 2017 -- “A Miracle Called Christiana”: the story of a special needs child written for the parents of special needs children who feel isolated. “A Miracle Called Christiana” is the creation of published author, Pamela Slayton Jones. Pamela Slayton Jones lives with her family in Grove City, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Farmville, Virginia where she graduated from Prince Edward Academy. She then graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Later in life, she fulfilled her dream of attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia when she earned a Master of Education degree in Library Science and Media Services. Before marrying her husband in 1985, Pamela Slayton Jones put her first degree to work in Charlotte County Public Schools in Keysville. After their move to Richmond, Virginia, she taught fourth grade at Luther Memorial School in the city while her husband attended Union Theological Seminary nearby. After another move, she became a stay-at-home mom with their son and, then, their daughter, Christiana, for the next ten years. Once Christiana was enrolled in public school, Pamela became an elementary school librarian in Augusta County Public Schools. The next year, they moved once more and she became a middle school librarian in Halifax County Public Schools in South Boston, Virginia. She is currently the caregiver of her adult daughter Christiana as well as the youth group leader at their present church, Harmony Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Harrisville, Pennsylvania.
