Author Pens Relevant Crime Novel Of Greed, Intrigue

Set in middle England, the crime novel shows how a simple telephone call can lead to illegal immigrants, murder, the downfall of terrorist cells and the jailing of a Member of Parliament. Sergeant Ron O'Neill took the original telephone call and becomes the thread which runs throughout the story.
Carr’s main inspiration in writing the book is the constant flow of immigrants from the Middle East to Europe and the U.K.
“The drug dealer saw other people’s misery, as 'easy pickings' by offering alleged safe passage into the U.K. while making vast sums of money for themselves, by planting drugs on the illegal migrants,” the author explains his book’s inspiration.

About the Author
Joe Carr was born in West Hartlepool, County Durham, in the northeast of England. The youngest of seven children, he was educated at the Sacred Heart School. He then completed five years as an apprentice decorator. At the conclusion of which, he was conscripted into military service and served in the Royal Military Police. In 1964, he joined Birmingham City Police. He later met and married Mary Elizabeth, his wife, in 1968. They have two children, Jane and Sally, and six grandchildren. He resides in the Birmingham area. “The Corrupt Costermonger” is the first crime novel written by Carr. He has had two children’s fairy tale books published. He brings to the book lots of experience and knowledge, which lends credence to the story.
