Author releases ‘Students’ Guide to Human Viruses’
NEW YORK (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- With more than a decade of teaching, college professor and author Igor V. Zaitsev addresses a myriad of questions pertaining to viruses and the diseases they engender. In order to aid not only college students but also lay readers, he published peer-reviewed “Students’ Guide to Human Viruses” (published by Xlibris) — the modern day reader’s guide to identifying viral diseases.
This compact text provides concise and updated information on major human viruses, with emphasis on their structure and the diseases they may cause. The material is organized by using the viral classification approach as an alternative to the organ system approach. “Students’ Guide to Human Viruses” also offers an overview of viral diseases for students, instructors, clinicians, researches and anyone interested in a thorough primer on the matter.
Zaitsev believes that a majority of people understand the importance of knowledge of infectious diseases thus reinforcement of such knowledge is beneficial for everyone. “Understanding of viral transmission could be life saving knowledge,” Zaitsev emphasizes. “Thus, this book could become a survival guide for many of us.”
