Author Robert Mann Focuses on Efficiency and Effectiveness in Leadership - Do You Measure Up?
London, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- What determines a successful leader? What contributes to a leader’s control? These and many other questions are explored in Robert Mann’s new book, The Measure of a Leader: A Review of Theories About Leadership and a Methodology for Appraising Leader Effectiveness.
Based on over twenty years of experience and research, The Measure of a Leader features a variety of case studies and analyzes the style, quality and performance of people in leadership roles. Along with real world examples, Mann utilizes charts and figures to illustrate his approach and a complete bibliography to encourage further reading.
The most unique and significant portion of the book is dedicated to Mann’s own system for quantifying the effectiveness of a leader, the Leader Appraisal Questionnaire. In addition to in-depth explanations of his theories on leadership, the handbook includes forms for measuring strategic, organizational and interpersonal behavior the readers can incorporate into their own evaluations.
“I wrote this book because of my interest and experience in the field of leadership,” said Mann. “The topics my book covers, including the psychology behind positions of influence, and my new tactics for measuring leadership effectiveness are key to understanding the necessity and impact of a high caliber leader.”
