(PRWEB) April 26, 2017 -- Robert Pollock was an aircraft Loadmaster for the United States Air Force and door gunner on assault helicopters. He served in the conflict in Vietnam, before going on to a twenty-five year career in law enforcement with the Los Angeles Police Department. After retiring in 1999, Pollock found time to write, “Memories of an American”: a thorough accounting of his life.
“I spent thirty-eight months consecutive in the combat zones of South East Asia, completed four-hundred twenty-one combat missions in the conflict of Vietnam, and when I was discharged, joined the LAPD,” Pollock reflected. “It was very hard, indeed, to see friends fall in combat for the USAF or in the line of duty with the LAPD, but that goes with the territory, and I lived to tell the story.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Robert Pollock’s memoirs capture one man’s sense of duty to public service and his family.
“I believe that I am a better person for having spent my life in public service,” Pollock explained. “This book is a tale of a life led for America, and my family.”
Readers who wish to experience this touching work can purchase“Memories of an American” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
