PROVO, Utah (PRWEB) October 06, 2016 -- Author Scott C. Hammond, PhD was once lost in life, and then he began a Search and Rescue (SAR) training, meeting people who had been lost in the wilderness. It was then that he realized being lost in work and life is not different from being lost in the woods. In his book, “Lessons of the Lost” (published by iUniverse), he gives readers unique lessons learned by lost people in the wilderness that can be applied to work and life.
As a volunteer in search and rescue, the author believes anyone can get lost – be it in the wilderness, workplace or even in life. In this book, he teaches readers to go beyond survival and thrive regardless of the nature of their personal wilderness. Through his experience rescuing others and real-life stories, Hammond provides valuable lessons designed to help those who are lost. These narratives communicate that small things matter, that no one is ever lost alone and that movement creates opportunity.
An insightful and enlightening read, “Lessons of the Lost” can be used in addiction therapy, suicide prevention and with professional groups who want to discuss how to stay on track with their careers. It will teach readers the importance of persistence and resilience.
“Everyone gets lost at some point, but the lessons we learn when we are lost are what make us move from surviving to thriving,” Hammond says.
