About the Author
Pricely Francis’ grandmother, a Seventh-day Adventist, first took him to church when he was a toddler. He grew up in church, holding various leadership positions, until he discovered, quite by chance, that his preaching was good enough to make grown men cry and sedate worshippers ‘get in the spirit.’ He enrolled in the religion course at West Indies College in Jamaica (now renamed Northern Caribbean University). After four and a half years of study, Pricely served his church as a pastor in several parishes over nine years. He later migrated to Canada where he taught in a church run school, after which he pastored a church for two years. Francis resigned his pastoral commission after a traumatic divorce and has been providing multi-faith spiritual care for long term care and retirement residents since 2002.
