Author talks about ‘Soul Sacrifice’, a story that needs to be heard
LAUREL, Md. (PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- Author Ruby S. Garnett says that, “Cults and child sexual abuse is much more prevalent in the world than we care to acknowledge. It is a more common reality that needs to be exposed and discussed, in order to guard against.” Bent on spreading awareness about the still prevalent cult practices in the country, Garnett divulges the true events that lead to her writing "Soul Sacrifice: One Story of Many”(published by AuthorHouse).
This story is a shockingly true account of a woman living part of her teenage years and young adulthood as a Muslim wife and eventually became part of a 'Harem' inside of one of the most influential underground cults in the United States. Assuming the pen name of Ruby Garnett at the request of her family, the author recounts the circumstances that led her to eventually be enticed by the religious extremist dogma of one of the most charismatic, influential underground cult leaders Black America has seen since the likes of Father Divine. Through this account, Garnett has a candidly intimate conversation with the readers about her state of mind from beginning to end.
Garnett pens "Soul Sacrifice" to provide strength for those children that came forward to let someone know about the sexual abuse they suffered at the hands of Nuwabian cult leader Malachi York. Despite the threats, harassment and lack of support even from some of their own brainwashed parents, these brave survivors of abuse are the reason this story needs to be heard.
A story of awareness and warning, this true account also spreads the message of healing any other child who may have suffered in this way.“Soul Sacrifice: One Story of Many” is the door to help everyone truly understand the dangers and prevalence of cults and their practices.
