Author Uses Patriot Daughter’s Story to Show Political Plight
AMMAN, Jordan (PRWEB) June 27, 2016 -- Author Mariam Bint Ali has watched the people of Iraq – the Iraqi Jews, Christians, Muslims, Yazidis, and many other humans with different faiths – once living in harmony, pay a heavy price for the policy of divide and rule.
She tells one such story in her new book, “I, an Iraqi: The Trials and Triumphs of a Patriot’s Daughter” (published by Partridge Singapore), which explores “a country brought down on its knees in the name of democracy, the injustice and cruelty of some people in power.”

The twinkling, smiling eyes behind the spectacles gave no indication of all the horror and sorrow they had been witness to, or of the collective punishment of a family that had lived for generations in Iraq, tracing their ancestry back to the prophets who blessed their holy land.
