Authors Brad Hill And Nina Bergman‘S Newly Released “The Runner” Is The Story Of An American Missionary Who Rediscovers His Faith On The Scorched Red Earth Of Zaire
(PRWEB) October 31, 2017 -- “The Runner”: an engrossing collaboration based on the work of Brad Hill (MDiv, DMiss), a former missionary in Congo, then Zaire. “The Runner” is the creation of published authors Brad Hill, who has pastored churches in America and served as adjunct faculty for Fuller and North Park Seminaries, and Nina Bergman, a writer who enjoys life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband.
Running from God, Jacob Springer returns to his boyhood home, the Republic of Zaire. Springer buries himself in his work as préfet of an African high school, only to find that one of the students, Yango Zalonga, a naturally gifted runner, draws him out and drags him across the red earth back toward faith. Springer finds his life inextricably woven with that of this young African, and together, they aim for the Olympic Marathon. This is based on a true story.
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Brad Hill and Nina Bergman‘s new book is an evocative tale weaving the sights, sounds, and people of Zaire with the internal struggles of an American missionary conflicted in his relationship with God.
