AVAC® Announces its Kickoff to Summer and Launch for 100k Step Club
San Jose, Calif. (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- The Almaden Valley Athletic Club® (AVAC®), the Bay Area’s premier, award-winning family facility offering total health, fitness and wellness programs for all ages, today announced the return of its popular Kickoff to Summer to be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015. San Jose residents interested in sampling some of the latest in fitness programming can sign up now for this free event.
The AVAC® Kickoff to Summer is an opportunity for local residents to try popular classes such as Zumba, Barre, TRX, parent/tot swim lessons, and tennis lessons. Planned as a family event, the Saturday features kids’ activities such as mini-camps, tennis clinics, as well as family opportunities like BBQ and lounging by the pool.

Additionally, AVAC® is in the final stages of plans for its brand new corporate wellness program. With the long-term goal of targeting of local businesses for a health and wellness education, the program starts with a community-wide launch of the 100k Step Challenge. This 10-day event challenges participants to track at least 10,000+ steps per day. Registration runs June 1 – 15 and is open to everyone (including non-members.)
