AvePoint Public Sector Provides Infrastructure Management Support for NATO Command & Control Collaboration Portal (C2CP)
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) November 20, 2014 -- AvePoint Public Sector, the established leader in enterprise-class big data management, governance, and compliance software solutions for next-generation social collaboration platforms, recently worked with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) providing support for its launch of their Command & Control Collaboration Portal (C2CP). Beginning with the 1st German/Netherlands Corps (1GNC), the portal supports NATO’s comprehensive Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) approach to NATO Forces 2020.
The portal was supported during exercise Noble Ledger 2014. After one-and-a-half years of preparation, the exercise took place in Wildflecken, Germany from 1–27 September. As a result of AvePoint’s support, the 1st German/Netherlands Corps (1GNC) was evaluated as “Excellent” and “Combat Ready.” The North Atlantic Treaty Organization Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) staff received extremely positive feedback about the importance of AvePoint’s contributions.
This is the first implementation of a NATO First Solution under the multi-year program, starting with the 1st German/Netherlands Corps (1GNC), and paves the way for continued collaboration with other NATO Rapid Deployable Corps (NRDCs). This is conducted in partnership with Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) - Izmir, which is responsible for providing leadership and guidance for the program.
AvePoint Public Sector specifically provided on-site installation, configuration, and training for infrastructure management focusing on critical data protection solutions.
Although only currently launched for 1GNC, planning includes expansion to other NRF supporting nations between calendar years 2014 through 2016 as follows:
- NRF 15: NRDC-Italy, French Joint Force Air Component Command and the Spanish Maritime Component Command
- NRF 16: NRDC-Turkey, NRDC-Spain, United Kingdom Joint Force Air Component Command and the Italian Maritime Component Command
- NRF 17: All other NRDC’s
