(PRWEB) April 10, 2018 -- According to the 2018 Hospital Executive Compensation Report published by Total Compensation Solutions (TCS) the average bonus for a hospital CEO is 33.2% of base salary. Project Manager Tom Bailey noted: “We saw a wide range of bonuses from 0% to 269% of base salary with approximately 76% of hospitals reporting they actually pay their CEO a bonus.” TCS observed one of the strongest factors in determining the size of bonuses paid to hospital CEOs is revenue size in addition to the standard performance metrics used in the hospital industry.
TCS also observed the average bonus range for five key executive positions (excluding the CEO) is 19.2% to 30.6% of base salary.
This new report on hospital executive compensation includes data from 1,332 hospitals across the United States, 27 executive and director level job titles and compensation data for approximately 5,000 executives. The 2018 Hospital Executive Compensation Report provides peer groups for: six revenue cuts, five regional cuts, three cost-of-labor cuts (high/medium/low) and for select job titles seven major metro area cuts. The compensation data is displayed by average; 25th, 50th & 75th percentiles for: base salary, bonus, total cash compensation (base salary plus bonus) and total remuneration (TCC plus benefits). We also report on the amount of retirement, non-taxable benefits and other income included in the total remuneration total.
