Avi Networks Achieves Red Hat Certification for OpenStack Clouds
Boston, MA (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- BOSTON (Red Hat Summit; Booth# 1205) – June 23, 2015 – Avi Networks today announced that its award-winning Cloud Application Delivery Platform (CADP) is now certified to deliver cloud- and SDN-based network services with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform.
The Avi Networks CADP achieved this by testing and proving its latest software release, v. 15.1, through Red Hat’s solution-certification requirements. The certification provides confidence to enterprises who migrate their business applications to OpenStack-based private clouds through benefits such as guaranteed service-level agreements (SLAs), high-availability, and performance visibility of their critical workloads when run with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 5.
Enterprises also benefit from cost-efficient, simple and accelerated deployment as both the Avi Networks and Red Hat platforms can run on commodity x86 servers (virtualized and bare metal) as software defined solutions, natively integrating with Nova, Neutron, LBaaS, Keystone, and Glance services within OpenStack.
“Any significant barriers to cloud migration can put enterprises at a competitive disadvantage, as recent research has shown,” said Dhritiman Dasgupta, Vice President of Marketing at Avi Networks. “Both Avi Networks and Red Hat are committed to knocking down those barriers in key cloud environments such as OpenStack that enables enterprises to adopt and enjoy new, more agile business processes without compromise.”
The Avi Networks CADP also offers significant, architectural-level advantages compared to legacy application delivery controllers (ADCs). The CADP follows SDN principles of centralized control and distributed data that allows enterprises to manage and load balance all of their applications using the same ADC. The CADP also enables automated and elastic scaling as business requirements demand that increases reliability and availability of critical applications. The product also features real-time monitoring capabilities through intelligent, closed-loop analytics that provides users detailed visibility into their cloud-application operations to ensure compliance and security.
“Much like Linux a decade ago, the community of individuals, vendors and enterprises behind OpenStack is helping to create a standard platform used to build open, massively scalable clouds,” said Radhesh Balakrishnan, general manager, OpenStack, Red Hat. “With their innovative technologies, Red Hat and Avi Networks are working to enhance performance, availability, and security for our customers.”
