Aviation and Utility Security Industry Veteran Christopher J. Payne Rejoins Systems Integrator SDI Presence
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 30, 2016 -- SDI (SDI Presence LLC), the mission-critical IT systems integrator, announces that long-time safety and security industry executive Christopher J. Payne has returned to SDI as its Vice President of Business Development. Payne will be responsible for business development in several of SDI’s core client accounts, focusing his efforts on SDI’s Chicago and Los Angeles markets.

Payne previously held several positions at SDI, including Senior Delivery Manager where he directed large enterprise IT projects at key accounts including the City-wide geographic information systems (GIS) base maps and an integrated work order management system at the largest utility in Chicago. During his hiatus from the firm, Payne held executive positions at aviation consultant Ross & Baruzzini, where he managed a staff of 23 employees to establish strategic relationships with core customers and industry trade organizations. Prior, Payne served as Director of Enterprise Solutions for Siemens, where he was responsible for directing all business development and delivery for Siemens integrated security and mass notification solutions for customers in North America and Brazil. Payne also was a National Business Development Manager at Siemens Building Technologies, where he directed business development for integrated security solutions and command and control customers within North America across multiple verticals.

Payne will split his time between Chicago and SDI’s growing Los Angeles office where he will build upon his previous LA-based experiences: Payne, along with SDI, was the original technology architects of the Los Angeles World Airports’ Airport Response Coordination Center, which involved the integration of over 30 security and operations systems into a cutting-edge Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) system. In the 10 years since, Payne oversaw the delivery of enterprise security systems at various California entities, including: mass notification at the University of California at Los Angeles; city-wide camera system deployment at the City of Santa Anna; on-board video surveillance for Omnitrans transit in San Bernardino; concept of operations exercises for San Diego airport’s Emergency Operations Center, PSIM deployment at San Diego’s Department of Water; integrated video and access controls systems support for John Wayne airport; and video surveillance components at Universal Studios.
