Award Winning Nursing Homes Announced at American Health Care Association’s Quality Symposium
Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- Providigm’s third annual Embracing Quality Awards were announced Monday evening at AHCA/NCAL’s 2015 Quality Symposium. The 301 skilled nursing centers that were honored are recognized as top-performing organizations in the United States and Canada.
Winning nursing homes were awarded for outstanding performance in one or more of three categories:
- Attaining a deficiency-free annual survey in 2014
- Having a low risk-adjusted rate of readmission to hospitals
- Achieving exceptionally favorable customer satisfaction ratings
“The Embracing Quality Awards are given to nursing homes who have not only demonstrated a commitment to quality improvement efforts by achieving QAPI Accreditation, but who have also achieved exceptional and measurable results in the areas of survey performance, readmissions, and satisfaction,” says Miranda Meadow, Providigm’s Accreditation Program Manager. “These awards are Providigm’s recognition of that link between effort and outcome.”
In order to be eligible to win an Embracing Quality Award, centers needed to achieve Providigm’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Accreditation. In total, 1,391 nursing centers, located across all 50 states, and Ontario, Canada, received Providigm’s QAPI Accreditation during 2014.
