B-29 FIFI Comes Home to Midland
Midland/Odessa, Texas (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) B-29 Superfortress FIFI will return to Midland/Odessa on August 26, 2013! FIFI, the Queen of the CAF Fleet will be on display at the George H.W. and Barbara Bush Commemorative Center at the CAF Airpower Museum from August 24 through September 17. During her time in the museum, the airplane will undergo scheduled maintenance and be available for viewing and ground tours.
"We are excited to have FIFI back in the Permian Basin to kick off the fall AIRSHO season," said Autumn Vest, Director of the CAF Airpower Museum. "Seeing the B-29 in the hangar is always a lot of fun for our visitors. The Midland/Odessa community has been a strong supporter of this rare airplane, and it will be great to have her back in the museum. Visitors will be able to enjoy seeing the maintenance crew in action during some of her stay before she goes back out on tour. It will be the perfect way to get in the mood for AIRSHO October 12-13 when FIFI will be back again!"
