B.o.B Covers Rolling Out Magazine
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- Weeks before the release of his third solo album, B.o.B took a moment to enjoy the spoils of being a hip-hop star. Surrounded by family, friends and label reps, B.o.B hosted a private dinner at Atlanta’s posh STK restaurant.
When he was younger, B.o.B could not have imagined being able to host such an extravagant dinner. Due to his family’s financial situation, he was unable to acquire some of the simple things that most teens take for granted.
"For the most part, my family struggled. In the wintertime, we were all huddled up over a heater just trying to stay warm. As a kid, I didn’t indulge,” B.o.B said during our interview with music editor Amir Shaw.
B.o.B began to experiment with music after buying a DMX CD and listening to artists such as OutKast, Nas and Eminem. He soon produced his own music and decided to test his skills at different open mic events after school.
After releasing several mixtapes, B.o.B garnered mainstream attention with his debut, The 'Adventures of Bobby Ray.' The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts and featured two Grammy-nominated hits, “Nothin’ on You,” and “Airplanes”.
Along with several major endorsement deals in tow, B.o.B achieved his dream and much more. He releases his third studio album, "Underground Luxury," today. His proves every successful story has aspects of difficulties.
