Back Pain Centers Of America Expands Executive Team In A Year of Growth
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- Back Pain Centers of America (BPCA), a company that connects people searching for solutions to their neck and back pain with reputable physicians in their area, announced Jan. 28, 2016 that Erika Rosenthal has joined the company as vice-president, strategy and healthcare partnerships.
“We are excited for Erika to join our team. She has been working with us for over a year as a consultant, and joining our team full time is a natural next step with the growth of our business,” says Brent Wheeler, president of Back Pain Centers of America. “Erika’s experience, both as a spine surgery center administrator and as a healthcare marketer, will help us to meet the growth demands of the expanding number of spine surgery centers in our network.”
Rosenthal joins Back Pain Centers from Rosenthal-Schoor, a management consulting and executive search firm, where she served as a retained executive for private equity and venture capital groups in need of fractional Chief Marketing Officer services for healthcare startups in their portfolios. Previously, she served in an executive role for COR Medical Technologies in Houston, with prior positions as Senior Vice-President of Marketing for Okyanos Heart Institute and Laser Spine Institute. She was also Vice-President for Laser Spine Institute’s spine surgery center in Philadelphia.
“I’ve known and worked with Brent in some capacity since 2010,” says Rosenthal, “and I believe the Back Pain Centers’ business model to be a much needed service in today’s complex healthcare world. The company not only helps patients find reputable physicians, but it also helps hospitals and outpatient spine centers tap into a sophisticated communications and analytics program to help educate patients on the different healthcare options, while improving the patient journey and experience and lowering healthcare costs. I am delighted to join this team of talented people who are experts in healthcare consumerism, and we are excited about the explosive growth in our industry.”
Rosenthal received both her bachelor of arts and master in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a second master in digital marketing from the University of San Francisco. She completed executive education programs at Wharton School of Business and at Cornell University. Erika has worked in healthcare for seventeen years, and is a former faculty member of the University of California – Irvine, where she taught Marketing and Hospitality Management.
