Backed up by Survey Result, Sense Financial Reveals Tangible Assets Are the Best Long-term Investment Option for Self Employed Retirement Plans
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Stockbrokers will surely raise their eyebrows with the result of the latest survey conducted by Gallup on Economy and Personal Finances last April 3-6 that reveals real estate as the top long-term investment choice of Americans belonging to the upper income bracket. For Americans receiving lower income, gold is their top choice for long-term investment which is another tangible asset as real estate. This clearly shows that non-traditional investment choices offered by the self employed retirement plans like self directed IRA and Solo 401k plans for self employed individuals could provide better cash flow than what traditional retirement plans could provide.
Based on the survey, 38% of wealthy Americans earning $75,000 and up voted real estate as their number one long-term investment choice, while stocks and mutual funds got 30% making it as the second choice before gold which received 18%. At 26%, real estate and gold shared the same number of percentage from Americans earning between $75,000 and $30,000, while stocks and mutual funds almost shared the spot with 25%. Americans who are earning lower than the first two groups mentioned above picked gold as their top choice with 31%, followed by real estate with 28%, and savings account and CDs with 17%, while stocks and mutual funds were considered a poor choice of investment at 13%.
This result also explains why there is a significant increase in the number of Sense Financial clients signing up for the Solo 401k retirement plan for self employed individuals. According to their clients, the ability of the self-directed, self employed retirement plans to invest in tangible markets while taking control of their retirement savings is what most of them have looked into. Real estate provides investors safer and more stable returns compared to paper investments. Gallup’s survey table shows a rising display for real estate since 2012, continuously beating the stock market.
