Backyard Travel Release New Tour: Ski & The City - Tokyo to Nozawa Onsen
Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) November 29, 2013 -- The ten-day, nine-night Japan tour begins in Tokyo and allows travelers to take a guided exploration of a selection of the city’s intriguing highlights. During a two night-stay, travelers can take in the magnificent Meiji Shrine, a marvelous monument in a tree-filled forest in Shibuya.
From there they will be guided around the fabulously diverse Harujuku district and Omote-sando, an avenue dubbed the 'Japanese Champs-Élysées', before moving to the up-market Ginza area where travelers can also see the Imperial Palace, home to the Emperor of Japan.
After two nights in Tokyo, the trip takes travelers out of the big city by ‘bullet train’ to Nagano. There they will be met by a Backyard Travel representative who will transfer them on to their next hotel in Nozawa Onsen.
A region that welcomes a healthy snowfall from approximately November to May, Nozawa Onsen in the Nagano Prefecture has been a popular ski destination in Japan since the 1920’s and travelers will have a seven-day pass to take advantage of the best pistes, slaloms and slopes the area has to offer.
Should travelers reach their fill of the 36 snowy slopes, Backyard Travel can also arrange a variety of alternative tour options complete with tour guide.
“There’s so much to love about Japan and with four distinct seasons there’s really no bad time to visit,” said Backyard Travel’s General Manager Maeve Nolan. “From cherry blossom season in spring to the rolling green landscapes of summer, the colors of autumn and ski season in December, Japan is truly an exceptional destination all year round.”
