Bad Girls Club’s Alicia Samaan Discusses How She Became a Reality TV Star and Her Current Stance Against Violence on Maria Menounos' Black Hollywood Live Network.
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- Alicia Samaan, cast member of Bad Girls Club Season 10 and Bad Girls Club All-stars Season 2, recently sat down for an interview with the hosts of Black Hollywood Lives’ Reality Check. Samaan shared that it was her mother who originally encouraged her to become involved in reality television. “My mom and I, one day, were drinking margaritas and watching TV and she said why don’t you go on a reality show?” When Samaan asked her mother which reality show, her mother encouraged her to join The Bad Girls Club, because she grew up in a household with three brothers and was no stranger to fighting.
Although fighting helped get Alicia onto the show, she told Reality Check that she no longer fights and has changed her lifestyle. Samaan stated, “This is me. You have no right to touch me. I have no right to touch you. I will never hit a girl again honest to God. It’s just that no one has the right to put their hands on anybody and it doesn’t matter who they are. I don’t believe in abuse in any way, shape, or form. Honestly, after realizing this is what I grew up in and this is entertainment for the world, I don’t want any parts of it.”
After Samaan’s season ended, she had little luck booking appearances to make money; which she attributed to being the most hated girl on television. She shared that being poor helped her make the decision to become an Herbal Life health and fitness coach. “It really brought me down to a point I’ve never felt in my entire life, truly being broke. I’m talking like a dollar in my pocket. Walking around New York City like what am I going to eat? What am I going to do? I’m this girl on TV. People see me in Lamborghinis on Instagram, but in reality, I got 50 cents in my pocket.”
The Chicago native also discussed some of her future business plans, revealing a new project she is working on. “I’m working on a six minute booty workout. It is Get it Right, Before You Go to Sleep at Night.”
