Baker & Baker Insurance Agency and the Wings of Eagles Organization Launch Charity Initiative to Benefit Families of Critically Ill Children
Chico, CA (PRWEB) August 16, 2017 -- Baker & Baker Insurance Agency, a Sacramento area provider of insurance management and financial planning assistance serving families and business owners in the region, is inaugurating a community wide charity event to support the ongoing efforts of the Wings of Eagles organization.
Wings of Eagles was founded in 1993 by Georgia Alvarez after she lost her son to a rare and deadly form of leukemia. Since then, WoE has raised more than $1 million that has gone toward assisting the families of children who are facing critical illness. The charity has also been involved in two regional events: the 100th annual pioneer day parade and the annual Harley owners’ group poker run.
“We understand that we can’t change unfortunate events but we want to help comfort in dealing with them,” says Kevin Baker, principal agent and executive director of Baker & Baker Insurance Agency.
To help promote the Wings of Eagles charity drive and gather support for the event from Chico area residents, Baker and his team are working to share information over social media platforms and an email update system. This marks the second charity initiative directly sponsored by the Baker & Baker Insurance team since the firm became a regional representative of the “Agents of Change” charity support network. Going forward, the firm will be working with new charitable organization and nonprofits in California on a bimonthly basis.
