BallenIsles Country Club Taps Troon Privé Division President Ryan Walls as New General Manager/COO
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla (PRWEB) October 11, 2017 -- On the heels of approving a $35 million clubhouse renovation inspired by the club’s iconic heritage, BallenIsles Country Club has named Troon Privé Division President Ryan Walls as its new general manager/COO.
“We are extremely pleased to announce Ryan Walls as our new general manager and COO, and feel that his multifaceted background makes him uniquely qualified to lead the operations of our club,” said BallenIsles Board of Directors President Dr. Jack Cook.
Mr. Walls is a 20-year member of the PGA of America and a former Horton Smith Award winner. Since joining Troon in 1996, his operational leadership positions have included directing the company's Australia, Asia & Pacific divisions. Prior to being appointed president of Troon Privé in 2016, he served as Troon’s senior vice president of operations, overseeing a number of multi-course properties and Troon’s sales and marketing department.
“In working with Ryan through his corporate support as president of Troon Privé, the Board has been impressed with his broad range of experience,” said Dr. Cook. “He’s been involved with the construction and redevelopment of golf courses and clubhouses, has a reputation for building and leading strong teams, and he is strategic in nature with an acute eye for operational detail. These are qualities the Board believes to be critical to our club’s future success and sustainability.”
Walls will be relocating to Palm Beach Gardens from Scottsdale, Ariz. and will be joined by his wife Kathleen and two daughters.

BallenIsles’ $35 million clubhouse renovation is expected to be complete in the fall of 2018. It will see the expansion of its 72,000 square foot clubhouse grow to 114,900 square feet and feature a grand redesigned 19th hole on the clubhouse terrace offering breathtaking views of the East Golf Course where Jack Nicklaus won the 1971 PGA Championship.
