Bananagrams, Inc. Introduces Fan-Inspired BIG Letter BANANAGRAMS® for Millions of Low Vision Players
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (PRWEB) November 06, 2017 -- Bananagrams, Inc., maker of the international hit word tile game BANANAGRAMS®, is thrilled to introduce fan-inspired BIG Letter BANANANGRAMS®, specially designed for players with low vision. The game features new larger, bolder and higher contrast letter tiles to aid in easy-to-read gameplay.
BIG Letter was inspired by 85-year-old Chicago resident and avid BANANAGRAMS player Jan Siemsen who suffers from Macular Degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss in the elderly, affecting more than 10 million Americans overall. A portion of the BIG Letter sales proceeds will go to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation to help further their dual mission of educating people about how to thrive despite having the disease and supporting research to prevent, treat and cure it.
BIG Letter tiles are twice the size of the original BANANAGRAMS letters, also aiding in gameplay dexterity.
In celebration of the game’s release, Bananagrams, Inc. will host a #BringBigSmiles with #BigLetterBananagrams social media campaign to encourage people to get active in their communities and visit their local elder care facilities to play the game with seniors.
