Bandwidth Takes on Call Fraud at Contact.io Call Marketing Conference
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 19, 2016 -- Call fraud is a growing corporate problem that costs companies millions. To help the communications and marketing industries solve this growing issue, Bandwidth will be presenting a series of strategies at the Contact.io Call Marketing Conference, taking place this week in San Francisco.
Bandwidth’s Vice President of Product & Carrier Strategy, Nick Sgroi, will outline how fraudsters seek to profit through tactics such as illegitimate auto-generated calls and traffic pumping to toll free numbers, and explain reasons why the communications industry should cooperatively address this problem. As voice communications are more expensive to generate and manage than other forms of digital marketing, the impacts to both phone bills and human capital are widespread.
“Call fraud won't go away overnight and it will continue to pop up in new ways. It's imperative that carriers and their customers cooperate and communicate; it needs to be a group effort,” said Sgroi.
Sgroi will be speaking Wednesday, January 20th at 3:45 p.m. PST on the panel titled, “Robocalls & Traffic Pumping: Stopping the Blight Before it Stops Us.”
