BaseHealth Names Experienced Biotechnology Executive Jason Pyle, M.D., Ph.D. as New CEO

Effective immediately, Pyle will oversee the company’s rapid growth and help further BaseHealth’s mission to bring science-backed wellness management tools to the masses. Pyle, an accomplished biotechnology executive with over fifteen years of emerging technology experience, most recently served as Chairman and CEO at Triton Innovation. Pyle earned both his MD and Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Physiology from the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Pyle will lend his deep subject matter expertise in genomics and strong executive-level leadership to BaseHealth. He has cofounded and led successful biotechnology firms including Triton Innovations, Fabric Media Inc., Sapphire Energy, Epoc Bioengineering Inc., and Pria Diagnostics. Pyle has also received numerous awards for both his contributions to biotechnology and his business leadership in the biological sciences, including Top 100 Green Executive by Forbes, Top Tech Executive by San Diego Magazine, and National Energy Innovator by the U.S. Department of Energy.
The decision to name Pyle as CEO comes at a moment of rapid expansion for BaseHealth. In the last two years, the company has released a full developer program and signed deals with partners ranging from concierge physician groups, to wellness programs, corporate wellness providers, and next generation payers. These developments, along with multiple pilot engagements with large partners, puts the Redwood City, CA-based startup well on its way to amass a dataset covering half a million lives by end of year.
