Battery Giant to Host Senator Bieda to Kick Off Recycling Drive
Warren, MI (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22nd. To kick off a week-long recycling drive, Battery Giant is partnering with State Senator Steve Bieda (D-Warren) to promote effective and sustainable recycling habits. Senator Bieda and Battery Giant will host a community event to celebrate Earth Day, and help people learn what recycling resources are available to them at their Warren location on April 20th, 2015.
Battery Giant is a Michigan based company that offers free battery recycling to the community in an effort to keep toxic chemicals out of landfills. The event is part of a week-long battery recycling drive that will highlight how Battery Giant aides the community by teaching people how to recycle these hazardous materials and provides a necessary service to residents in municipalities that may not accept batteries for recycling.
The event will take place on Monday, April 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Battery Giant located at 5755 E Twelve Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48092, and all members of the community are welcome to attend. Children who attend will receive coloring books that detail the abundance of natural resources in the state of Michigan and how to protect them.
Battery Giant accepts all batteries for recycling throughout the year, but holds drives to help educate the community on the importance of battery recycling and the availability of the free recycling program.
