Bautex Systems and Martini Brick Sales Team Up to Help Corpus Christi and Gulf Coast Architects and Builders Create Stronger, Safer Walls
SAN MARCOS, TEXAS (PRWEB) November 12, 2014 -- Expanding its network on the Gulf Coast, Bautex Systems today announced that Martini Brick Sales will support sales and distribution of the Bautex Block and the Bautex products in the Corpus Christi area. Martini Brick will represent Bautex products to its customers designing and constructing buildings for government and commercial markets, with emphasis on K-12, higher education, office, retail and hospitality projects.
In addition, Martini Brick will help market Bautex products to residential architects and custom homebuilders whose clients want the highest standards for energy efficiency, sustainability, durability and safety from windstorm and fire.
“We admire the success of Martini Brick and look forward to helping it meet the needs of the community it has served for more than 50 years. They understand the unique challenges facing architects, general contractors, masonry contractors, and developers who are building on the Gulf Coast,” says Paul Brown, president, Bautex Systems.
“Five years ago, Bautex set out to simplify the entire process of constructing an insulating concrete wall because we saw the growing need in Texas for three big benefits of this product: energy efficiency, fire safety, windstorm protection or all three,” he adds. “Working with Martini Brick, we can help customers build walls and building envelopes that go head-to-head with every other option available, both on price and performance.”
Based in San Marcos, Bautex Systems designs and manufactures a composite insulating concrete form (ICF) known as the Bautex Block, a lightweight building block made from beads of expanded polystyrene blended with a proprietary cement mixture. It is the foundation of the Bautex Wall System, which meets or exceeds safety standards for durability and protection from windstorm and fire, while also providing commercial and residential buildings with superior insulation and energy efficiency.
“Our customers trust us to provide products and service that exceed expectations, and representing Bautex complements our own masonry and concrete products,” says Les Hoelscher vice president, Martini Brick. “We like that the Bautex Block simplifies the design and installation of an insulating concrete wall while making it safer and cost-competitive. The Bautex product will change the way our customers think about building walls, inside and out.”
Corpus Christi is a new market for Bautex, which launched its operations in Central Texas in 2013 and entered the Houston market the same year. In 2013, the Bautex Wall System was selected for two projects at Sea Scout Base Galveston on Galveston Island. Architects selected Bautex products in order to elevate an existing building 13 feet to get it out of the hurricane flood surge zone. In a second installation, the Bautex Wall System formed exterior and interior walls for a new, five-story dormitory.
