Bayview Retirement Community Senior Citizens Show us it’s Never Too Late to Shine
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) November 13, 2015 -- In red carpet fashion, Bayview Retirement Community will premiere their much anticipated movie webisodes on Tuesday, November 17 at 2 pm. After the success of the 2013 Bayview Musical Comedy and 2014 sci-fi flick ‘The Thirteenth Floor,’ Bayview residents once again tap into the amazing potential of film in 13 short-form webisodes. Storytelling at its best, the webisodes tell a story about a writer imagining a series of unlikely events through the eyes of a sleepwalker and other whimsical characters, including a creature wreaking havoc on the retirement community.
The event will include a meet and greet with the resident actors, introduction from Director Scott Jackman and Producer Karen Tanzy, full viewing of the webisodes, followed by cake and champagne reception.
Resident and Actor Dottie Neufeld says, “The thing about aging is you don’t realize that there’s still opportunities to learn, to grow and to meet new people and to share your experiences. I was just drawn into the whole project. I don’t think I wasn’t the only one who was blossoming as an actor. I think other people as well didn’t expect to be such an integral part of the film. It was an amazing experience.”
Unleashing the power of creativity in life is an essential part of healthy aging. Through Bayview’s web series, residents weave together themes of positive aging and courage aimed to benefit all generations. These creative projects are also more than just filmmaking for Bayview residents. It’s about turning a vision into a reality and finding new vehicles of expression and communication. The residents aspire to change the perception and expectations of older adults.
Resident actors will be joined with Director Scott Jackman via Skype (from Houston!), Producer Karen Tanzy, Executive Producer and Bayview Director of Resident Services Nancy Weinbeck, family, friends, residents and staff.
