BBB Announces the 2014 Students of Integrity Award Scholarship Recipients

Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- The BBB’s Center for Character Ethics will honor the 2014 Students of Integrity Scholarship Recipients in conjunction with the Torch Awards for Ethics Luncheon. The Students of Integrity Scholarship awards is an annual Future Workforce recognition program that selects and honors Central Ohio high school students who personify high character through leadership, community service, and overall personal integrity and academic accomplishments.

The program, founded in 2002, is open to high school juniors residing in BBB’s 21 county service area. A panel of business leaders and members of the academic community evaluate the entries. Scholarships are awarded the students in their senior year. The recipients will each receive a $1,000 scholarship toward advancement of their education.

In the twelve years since the program’s inception, BBB Center for Character Ethics has received over 750 entries from schools around our 21 county service area. Scholarships have been awarded to 115 high schools seniors, totaling over $115,000 towards their college educations.

The awards are to be presented at the Torch Awards for Ethics Luncheon, which will honor central Ohio companies that embody the BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust. For more information on the 2014 Torch Awards for Ethics, visit bbbtorchawards.com/eventinfo.
