Be First Clothing to Sponsor Fighter Performance Bonuses for BAMMA USA’s Badbeat 11
Santa Ana, CA (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- Be First Clothing “Pink Ribbon” Commitment
Along with sponsoring the Badbeat 11 event and sponsoring female flyweight fighter Michele ‘Diablita’ Gutierrez in BAMMA USA’s first-ever professional female bout, Be First Clothing will also have special limited-edition ‘Pink Ribbon’ merchandise for sale at their vendor booth on October 25th. Be First Clothing owner Ace Baker commented on what it means to be sponsoring the event during October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, “We (Be First Clothing) thought that the night of BAMMA USA’s first female fight would be a great opportunity to spread breast cancer awareness and raise some money for the cause.”
‘Be First’ Knockout and Submission of the Night Awards
BAMMA USA CEO Brett Roberts commented on the partnership with Be First Clothing were as follows: “As BAMMA USA strives to be the driving force in MMA during this month of awareness, we are honored that Be First Clothing has agreed to partner with us in this endeavor. We keep moving forward with partners that are interested in the long term mutual growth of our company and our product. In sponsoring the fight night bonuses for a fourth consecutive time, Be First Clothing continues to show their committed support of our company and the fighters, who, as the direct beneficiaries of the awards, greatly appreciate the bonuses.”
“Pro Series 3” Bonus Winners
The ‘Be First’ fighter performance bonuses were awarded immediately following ‘Pro Series 3 presented by BAMMA USA’ on September 7, 2013. In his fourth appearance in the BAMMA USA promotion, bantamweight David ‘The Farmer of Destruction’ Duran (1-1) excited the crowd with a devastating knockout win against Aziz Rashid (0-2). Duran received the ‘Be First’ Knockout of the Night (KOTN) Award for his highlight reel head kick which landed flush on Rashid. The blow caused Rashid to stagger to the canvas and gave Duran the opening to finish him off with a flurry of punches. For his impressive knockout win, David Duran was named the Be First Clothing KOTN award winner and received a $250.00 cash bonus from BAMMA USA CEO Brett Roberts and Be First Clothing owner Ace Baker inside the post-fight interview room after the event.
The ‘Be First’ Submission of the Night (SOTN) Award was won by Ozzie ‘El Gallito’ Avalos (6-2). In his first appearance inside the BAMMA USA Cage since 2010, where he earned his third win as a professional, Avalos notched his 6th professional win at Pro Series 3 against Nick Reale (8-8) in the first round of their bout. After a feeling out process, Reale threw a couple sidekicks to the body. Avalos waited patiently to go for the takedown shot. Once he had Reale on the ground, the former Santa Ana College wrestler Avalos successfully pulled off a guillotine choke to secure the win. Being the sole fighter to win by submission, Ozzie Avalos was also awarded a $250.00 cash bonus from Be First Clothing. The complete video presentations of the ‘Be First’ Submission and Knockout of the Night Awards can be found on the BAMMA USA website (http://www.bammausa.com/badbeat/pro-series-interviews/).
These performance-based bonuses provide an additional incentive for the fighters to go for a finish in their fights. In fact, 7 of the 8 fights at Pro Series 3 ended in stoppages. Badbeat 11 on October 25, 2013 is scheduled for another evening of exciting MMA action to a projected capacity audience inside the Ballroom of the world famous Commerce Casino (Commerce, CA). Headlining a scheduled 15-bout event is the Lightweight Title fight between undefeated champion Ernest Chavez (7-0) and contender Dionisio ‘The Soldier of the Sun’ Ramirez (7-3). Other featured bouts include two heavyweight fights as Jack ‘The Outlaw’ May (5-0) takes on Paul ‘Tall’ Karsky (11-22) and Nigel Dawson (1-1) confronts Art Rivs (4-2). Featherweight Trace ‘Midnight’ Gray (3-1) faces stiff competition against former King of the Cage champion Aaron ‘Slam’ Wetherspoon (8-4). About Be First Clothing
The Be First Clothing Company began as the fulfillment of a promise made between two siblings. When the brother, Eric, passed away in May 2012, the sister, Ace, finalized the plans they shared to start a clothing company together, that targeted the combat sports community and specifically, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). As a black belt, Eric was to find talented fighters to wear the clothing that Ace would design. The knowledge that Eric passed on to Ace about combat sports is the basis that she will use to make her company a success. The foundation for Ace’s drive to succeed comes from her 4 children and her fiancée. The company’s unique motto exemplifies not only its mission statement but also the determination that most successful fighters display. “Be First to Stand Up, Be First to Strike and Be First to Finish.” For more information, visit the company website at http://www.BeFirstClothing.com.
