The company plans to raise $40,000 on Indiegogo to further the development of their revolutionary wearable technology.
The Crowdfunding campaign takes place within a 45-day period starting February 4, 2016, ending in mid-March. The chosen platform is the American-based, yet globally exposed, Indiegogo where funding for all campaigns can be made from public rewards-based donations.
BearTek Gloves are completely unique in the exploding wearable technology space. The gloves are specifically designed for outdoor enthusiasts to make their adventures safer, more enjoyable and uninterrupted by seamlessly integrating Bluetooth capabilities into a premium glove. Since the launch of BearTek Gloves in 2013, customers have embraced the wearable technology as a part of their everyday lives and the company is continually innovating their gloves to meet customers’ needs. BearTek Generation I used the tagline “Hidden Inside this Glove is a Revolution.” The mantra around BearTek Generation II gloves is “Control Your World” which means there are more options to customize the gloves and the technology based on the user’s preferences, lifestyle and application needs.
Among new designs and capabilities, Generation II gloves will include a liner option that can be used under other gloves when users want BearTek functionality, but still want to slip on other gloves. The premium luxury gloves made with high-quality waterproof liners provide warmth and protection from the elements. Inside the cuff of these gloves is the patented Bluetooth wireless sync module technology that is the core of the one-of-a-kind finger-touch control system. Once fully charged the module provides up to 80 hours of battery life, but Generation II will expand the battery life potentially beyond a year. By touching the touchpads users can play or pause music, skip forward/back, fast forward/rewind and accept or reject incoming phone calls and so much more when controlling the GoPro® camera.
BearTek Generation I originally worked with iOS products, but are now compatible with Android phones and offer control of Siri, volume control and is now functional with GoPro® Hero 4 and GoPro® cameras. Generation II will offer unique customization through their BearTek App that allows anyone wearing BearTek Gloves to focus on their primary activity, not their device. BearTek Gloves operate by intuitively tapping your thumb to various finger touchpads embedded along the sides of the fingers to send a signal to the user’s device that is safely tucked away.
