Beaumont’s Sundance Community Welcomes Summer, Renews Neighborhood Spirit During Inaugural Festival
Beaumont, California (PRWEB) July 13, 2013 -- More than 900 residents in Beaumont’s Sundance community gathered recently at Mountain View Park for a fun and spirited community event called “Summertime in Sundance.”
The 1,700-home community managed by Professional Community Management, Inc. held this inaugural event as a way to promote community spirit, promote local businesses and community services, while raising needed funds for local schools and youth organizations.
“Summertime in Sundance brings people together who ordinarily are busy with work, getting kids to school and soccer games, and everything else in life,” said Malynda Thomas - Sundance Community Association Board Vice President “This is all about neighbors spending time with neighbors, enjoying great food and music, and celebrating what’s best about this community.”
Festival attendees enjoyed carnival games, face painting, clowns and crafts while munching on In-N-Out hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and cotton candy.
30 local businesses were on hand to promote their products and services while officers from the Beaumont Police Department offered safety tips while promoting their “Beaumont Cares” program. San Gorgonio Hospital also shared information about their vital health care and emergency services.
During the event, funds were raised to support Local Cub Scout Pack 322 and Anna Hause Elementary School.
“Our children are the lifeblood of this community,” explained Elizabeth Wurtz, Sundance Community Association Board Treasurer. “We’re thrilled that we can highlight and support enriching youth programs through this festival.”
“Sundance is a very active, fun-filled community,” said Professional Community Management’s Gloria Lazarony, Community Manager for Sundance. “The Board here is passionate about creating community rather than just a place to live.”
