Beauty Schools of America visits C.O.P.E
Miami, Fl (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) will be visiting C.O.P.E., a school of choice for expectant and parenting teens and their children, this Wednesday, November 20th.
BSA prides itself on a growing community outreach program, and C.O.P.E. is recognized for their community support. The relationship is ideal and focused on giving back to the community.
“We are always looking to give back to the community,” stated Jeff Gonzales, Chief Operating Officer at BSA. “We welcomed the opportunity to work with C.O.P.E., even something as simple as makeup and hair styling, we understand that the little things mean a lot to these kids.”
C.O.P.E. bases its school philosophy on providing continuing opportunities for a purposeful education. Their vision is to provide a culture for learning for middle and high school teen parents as well as a nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. The average enrollment at the schools is 150 students and 108 babies. During the 2012-2013 school year, there were a total of 64 students who gave birth.
“The work the C.O.P.E. school does is truly inspirational,” continued Gonzales. “We are happy to be able to play a small role.”
The Coral Springs Schools, Inc. d/b/a Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) opened its first campus in Margate, Florida in 1989. The school has successfully expanded to a total of 5 locations throughout South Florida, making it one of the largest cosmetology schools in Florida. All campuses are situated in vastly diverse communities, basking in the rich variety of students and residents in the area. BSA is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education (CIE)/Florida Department of Education (DOE), accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and has been one of five schools across the country to meet the standards of the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), which provides certification in over 38 countries. BSA currently offers an array of beauty and spa related programs and our curriculum continues to grow as the industry evolves.
