Beecher Street Kitchen Band to Perform at Heritage Woods of Flora Affordable Assisted Living
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- The Beecher Street Kitchen Band will be performing at Heritage Woods of Flora, a BMA affordable assisted living community, at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, July 15.
The community, which is located at 1003 W. 4th St. in Flora, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
“Come enjoy the wonderful music that this band creates using items found in kitchens,” says Lucas Sigrist, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Flora.
The performance is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.

Heritage Woods of Flora is the only senior living community in Clay County that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program. The program emphasizes personal choice, dignity, privacy and individuality, says Sigrist.
The community combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance; help with medications; and a variety of convenience and support services such as three meals a day, housekeeping and laundry.
Residents live in private apartments that they furnish and decorate to their taste. Each of the studio and one-bedroom floor plans includes a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs,” says Sigrist.
“We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” he adds.
The affordable assisted living community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., of Bradley, Illinois. BMA is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
“Our focus is to provide the residents of Heritage Woods of Flora with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance they need,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA and native of Clay County. “Our emphasis is on helping residents achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”
