Bel-Art Products’ New Vacuum Desiccator Holds Vacuum for 72 Hours
Wayne, NJ (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- A family of vacuum desiccators that hold a 29in.-Hg vacuum for over 72 hours at room temperature is now available from Bel-Art Products. Scienceware® Lab Companion™ Vacuum Desiccators are available in an innovative cabinet style, offering a swing open door for convenient access and internal storage capacity up to 45 liters, as well as traditional round style models.

Both the cabinet style and the round style Lab Companion® desiccators maintain a vacuum for over 72 hours, minimizing the need for maintenance and monitoring. The cabinet models have a uni-body design, enabling outstanding vacuum capability with virtually no leakage and exceptional durability. The cabinet desiccators’ hinged door allows for easy access and maximum useable space, and the analog vacuum gauge in the front door enables at-a-glance monitoring of the vacuum level. Designed for extra convenience in labs where space is limited, cabinet models are stackable and their shelves can be repositioned.
The round style models feature a built-in analog vacuum gauge at the top of the unit for simplified monitoring. Outstanding vacuum capability with virtually no leakage is realized through the use of a high-quality silicone O-ring and high quality, 3-way stopcock. The locking ring secures the top and bottom halves of the desiccator when the vacuum is not in use, providing additional convenience and safety when moving the unit.
All 14 models in both the round and cabinet styles are made from polycarbonate and are either clear or feature an amber tint that blocks 100% UVA, B, and C light. Round style internal volumes range from 6-20 liters, while the cabinet version’s eight models range from 11-45 liters.
The suggested list price for the Scienceware® Lab Companion™ round vacuum desiccators ranges from $262.75-$458. For the larger cabinet versions, prices range from $1,014-$2,170.
