Beloved Los Angeles Cosmetic & Family Dentist Contributes to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation
(PRWEB) December 19, 2013 -- Dr. Ali Saeghi, principal dentist at Modern Age Dentistry in the Los Angeles area, recently made a generous donation to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Literacy Program. Dr. Saeghi’s own personal mission aligns with that of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, which is to help less fortunate children throughout the United States have access to resources that enhance their ability to read and communicate effectively.
“The Toys for Tots Foundation wishes to break the cycle of poverty through literacy,” commented Dr. Saeghi. “I believe that children who are shown what’s possible through literature can really achieve their dreams. The contribution of Dr. Saeghi and other like-minded humanitarians resulted in the donation of $1 million dollars’ worth of books and toys to disadvantaged children across America. General Pete Osman, USMC, President and CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, accepted the gift on behalf of Toys for Tots.
Dr. Saeghi is honored to have been a part of the fundraising efforts. “It’s wonderful to know so many children are going to enjoy having an adventure within the pages of a book. I know how much my own daughter enjoys it.” In addition to contributing to child literacy, Dr. Saeghi tirelessly promotes child oral health care, stating that “oral health care needs to start at an early age in order to promote overall health and wellbeing.”
