BeMyDD Partners With Jack Daniel’s® in Houston, Texas, to Promote Social Responsibility With Designated Driver Program

On February 26-28, BeMyDD will be providing teams of free designated drivers on a first-come, first-served basis from 8-11 PM to drive guests and their cars home from the invitation-only Jack Daniel’s tent at the Houston Barbeque, the kick-off event for rodeo festivities. The barbeque, featuring a traditional Texas cook-off and including more than 250 competing teams, attracted more than 200,000 people in 2014. BeMyDD will be providing their Peace of Mind plan free-of-charge, a service that allows hosts to provide designated drivers for guests of their event or party.
Additionally, all rodeo attendees can receive US$20 off of their first designated driver booking, valid from February 26 – March 22. BeMyDD offers an alternative to ridesharing services such as Uber and Lyft, with a range of affordable services where professional, experienced chauffeurs operate the customer’s own vehicle. Services are priced at pre-determined rates free of surge pricing or other surprise fees.
In addition to the Peace of Mind plan, which costs US$45-$US53 per team per hour (depending on geography), BeMyDD offers two other designated driver services. With the Pick-Up Service, customers can be picked up from any location and driven home. Two drivers are dispatched, one to take the client and their car home and the second to follow behind to retrieve the BeMyDD driver. This service costs US$25 for pick-up and US$3.45 per mile, with a US$45 minimum.
With the Personal Driver Service, BeMyDD’s most popular offering, a professional driver arrives at the client’s home and chauffeurs them anywhere they want go using the client’s own car. Making multiple stops if necessary, the driver waits in the car and takes the client back home when they are ready. The Personal Driver Service costs US$14-US$19.50/hour, depending on geography, and has a three-hour minimum.
