BennettRank Announces Predictions for 2,000 College Games Weekly
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) February 06, 2014 -- The nation’s most comprehensive college basketball ranking system, BennettRank, has announced they are releasing weekly head-to-head predictions on their website for all upcoming D1, D2 and D3 men’s and women’s college basketball games. BennettRank is an algorithm-based ranking system that provides weekly rankings of all college basketball teams in D1, D2 and D3 every Monday. They recently have added game predictions to their scope of work. These predictions will cover all upcoming games each week and will be updated every Tuesday. Predictions are determined by a comparison of each opponent’s current BennettRank ranking, strength of schedule, current record and whether the game is home or away.
Predictions include the winner and a point spread for each game. Actual game results are then compared to predictions to determine if a team did better or worse than expected. The BennettRank is then adjusted depending upon how they performed against the prediction.
“For example, if a highly ranked team plays a team that has a much lower rank, we are obviously going to predict they will win,” Rachel Lee, director of marketing for BennettRank said. “If there is an upset and they lose however, their ranking will suffer accordingly.”
Other updates to the website include personalized twitter feeds on each school’s team page. BennettRank will also release a user-friendly mobile optimized site in Feb. 2014.
In addition to predictions, the creators have been hard at work to expand their business to YouTube in Feb. 2014 and are pleased to announce they will be publishing weekly videos on YouTube for each division, highlighting the week’s biggest news.
