BERMANFALK Wins Best Exhibit at World-Renowned Design Show BDNY
NEW YORK (PRWEB) December 15, 2017 -- World-renowned designers, first-class innovators, imaginative lighting creators, and visionary architects filled the halls of New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Center this past November as BDNY, the leading trade fair and conference for the hospitality design industry, opened its doors.
During the two day show, held from November 12th to November 13th, 2017, BERMANFALK collaborated with award-winning artist Timothy Goodman, who turned their trade show booth, and several custom pieces of furniture, into a live mural earning BERMANFALK the prestigious title of “Best Exhibit.”
BDNY plays host to exhibitors who travel across the country, and the world, to debut their latest designs, casegoods, and innovations and BDNY 2017 saw record-breaking attendance, compelling keynote speakers, and exhibitors who pulled out all the stops—BERMANFALK included. BDNY is a show designed to inspire and this year BERMANFALK decided to incorporate the theme of inspiration into their booth.
BERMANFALK’s Sales Manager, Daniel Berman, comments on the company’s innovative approach and remarks: "At BERMANFALK, we have a motto: 'Your Style. Your Way.' We believe in taking creative risks and working with designers to achieve a truly custom result. We give designers the freedom to be creative without limitations, and we could think of no better way to represent this than to use our booth and our casegoods as a canvas for Timothy to unleash his creativity and style on."
The collaboration with Timothy Goodman was a natural choice according to Gary Berman, BERMANFALK’s Vice President, who praises Goodman’s creativity. “Timothy is fearless with design. He’s fearless with his choice of tools, his mediums, and his style. We want hospitality designers to know that they too can be fearless in their design when they work with BERMANFALK.”
This collaboration attracted a lot of attention, not only from attendees but from BDNY officials themselves. BERMANFALK was awarded the prestigious title of “Best Exhibit” and show-goers were impressed with the simple yet daring display. In addition to the creation of a fearless booth, BERMANFALK caught attendee attention by not only having Goodman create a live mural, but by raffling off pieces of the booth as a custom prize for two lucky attendees. After the show finished, BERMANFALK cut two sections of their plexiglass booth, created by Goodman, and will soon be announcing the winners.
The BERMANFALK team was excited and humbled by the announcement that they won BDNY’s “Best Exhibit” award and attribute their success to their collaboration with Goodman and their guiding value of giving designers the freedom to create, without rules.

Timothy Goodman is a designer, illustrator & author based in New York City. His clients include Airbnb, Google, Ford, J.Crew, Samsung, Target, The New Yorker, and The NY Times. Previously, Timothy worked in-house at Apple Inc. and with the design firm Collins. He has received awards from most major design and illustration publications.
