Best Drug Rehabilitation Donates $5000 to Support Arthur Leslow Community Center (ALCC) in Monroe, MI
(PRWEB) August 06, 2014 -- At a special football camp and cookout attended by hundreds of Monroe, MI junior high and high school students on August 5, Best Drug Rehabilitation proudly donated $5000 to support both the football camp and the Arthur Lesow Community Center (ALCC).
Joining the enthusiastic students at Monroe High School were Monroe resident Sean Jordan, a West Point graduate and former Dallas Cowboy, Herman Moore, a 4-time Pro Bowl selection who retired from the Detroit Lions, and Per Wickstrom, Best Drug Rehabilitation’s CEO. Together, they cooked and served food, as well as handed our LiveToBeSober.com t-shirts to remind young people that they have the power to steer clear of drugs and alcohol.

Established in 1942 and referred to as the Monroe Community Center until 1968, the Arthur Lesow Community Center provides positive educational, social, cultural and recreational experiences for the entire Monroe community, including underprivileged children and their families. The spirit of the creation of ALCC was to provide an intervention to the high rate of juvenile delinquency within the community. Although boxing, basketball, volleyball, dodge ball, weightlifting, exercise, pool, and ping pong are available, the ALCC brings more to the table. Adhering to its mission, ALCC also provides tutoring, mentoring, field trips, children's dinners, senior activities and much more.
