Manistee, Michigan (PRWEB) October 01, 2016 -- Best Drug Rehabilitation is proud to announce our official sponsorship of the REEL Recovery 2016 Film Festival & Symposium, a week-long event held from September 23rd thru the 29th in New York City. REEL Recovery has been dubbed the “Sundance” of Recovery, featuring films that highlight addiction, treatment, sobriety, recovery, and mental illness. BDR is honored by the opportunity to join REEL Recovery in reaching an ever growing audience with the message: “Treatment works.”
BDR featured and introduced the film “Once a Cheerleader” for REEL Recovery on Monday, September 26th. The film was well received and is scheduled to be shown multiple times at the Los Angeles festival in late October. “Once a Cheerleader” is inspired by the true and far too common story of high school students falling into the despair of substance abuse and prostitution. We’re grateful to have been given the opportunity to show this important film to raise awareness of the dangers youth face and the ease in which drugs enter and destroy their lives.
The Holistic Model Used at Best Drug Rehab
Best Drug Rehabilitation is an inpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility that emphasizes the use of holistic models of wellness to support a sustainable recovery from substance abuse. Our decision to sponsor one of the longest recovery events in the country was based on our commitment to the prevention and treatment of America’s addiction epidemic. This year’s New York festival shares the month of September with National Addiction Recovery Month. At BDR, we’re celebrating life and recovery by sponsoring worthwhile events, like REEL Recovery.
We are a proud sponsor of REEL Recovery Film Festival & Symposium, and commend the founders, Writers in Treatment, for their tireless outreach efforts.
