Best Drug Rehabilitation Staff & Patients Help Michigan Families Fight Hunger
(PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- On Saturday January 3, 2015, staff and patients from Best Drug Rehabilitation teamed up with other caring volunteers at Mason County Reformed Church in Scottsville, MI, in order to help economically challenged families in the area fight hunger.
Best Drug Rehabilitation staff and patients spent the day bagging groceries with fresh and nutritious foods, and hauling them to Mason County Reformed Church volunteers so they could be ultimately distributed to 88 families in need via Mason County central schools. In addition, to help make the holiday season a bit brighter for children in need, Best Drug Rehabilitation also donated a huge haul of toys.
“Everyone knows that Michigan as a whole as been very hard hit by the economic crisis that took root here well before 2008,” commented Best Drug Rehabilitation’s CEO Per Wickstrom. “However, it may surprise some people across the country to know that instead of making people here harder and less caring, it has done the opposite. Mason County is home to some of the most generous, most caring, and most helpful people I’ve ever met, and it’s both an honor and an inspiration to team up with Mason County Reformed Church to help local families fight hunger, and make it through a tough patch in their lives.”
