Best Drug Rehabilitation Wishes Happy Holidays to Many With Community Santa Gift Giveaway
Manistee, Michigan (PRWEB) December 09, 2015 -- On Thursday December 10th, patients and staff members of Best Drug Rehabilitation, a holistic residential treatment center for addiction, will be heading out to the nearby K-Mart department store to give a little holiday cheer to locals. Residents of the Manistee, MI area, where Best Drug Rehabilitation is located, will be treated to a visit from Santa, bearing gift cards that will be handed out to shoppers, helping to ease the financial burden of the gift-giving season.
The Manistee K-Mart Superstore will host the Santa Gift giveaway from 2pm-6pm on Thursday with Santa and Best Drug Rehabilitation. The Best Drug Rehabilitation team will be on hand to help with handing out the cards, taking pictures with Santa and offering some good-hearted Holiday Cheer.
“It’s important in recovery from addiction that we learn to give back to others,” commented BDR founder Per Wickstrom. “To find the personal rewards in reaching out a helping hand, whenever and wherever we can. And there’s no better time to realize this than the holiday season, which is the time of giving. We hope to uplift our home community of Manistee and its residents.”
The Holidays & Recovery
Wickstrom, who began his work of helping others struggling with addiction after overcoming his own many years ago, understands the strain that the holidays can put on a person in recovery. “For many of our patients,” he explains, “this is their first holiday sober in a long time, and they are away from home. Getting out into the community with peers, spending time and bonding with each other, helps with that. It helps us to know that we are not alone.”
Best Drug Rehabilitation uses a dynamic and effective recovery program, adaptable to the needs of any individual who is struggling with addiction in their lives. Taking into account the unique characteristics of every patient, the recovery center offers several options in treatment, allowing each person to explore and discover the option that is right for them. Based on results rather than a 30-, 60-, or 90-day timeframe, the Best Drug Rehabilitation program helps their patients to find their own path to a truly thorough recovery from addiction. The program focuses on uncovering and addressing the underlying causes of the individual’s compulsive behaviors, and works towards balance and harmony between Body, Mind, and Spirit.
