BEST is Now Approved for Self-Study Delivery on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors

(BEST) has been approved for the QAS Self-Study and “Group Live” delivery methods on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Approval for the QAS Self-Study delivery method affirms BEST’s commitment to the delivery of high quality continuing professional education and means that all self-study programs developed, presented, measured and reported in compliance with the Statement of Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (revised January 2012) (Standards) and the program requirements of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors are considered QAS approved.
According to NASBA, “Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) must adhere to the continuing education requirements set forth by the State Board of Accountancy of the state/s where a CPA license is held. The requirements for continuing professional education vary from state to state. The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) requires certain CPE for maintaining membership. There are also special CPE requirements for those performing work related to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the Employee Retirement Security Act (ERISA).”
CPE is required for CPAs to maintain their professional competence and provide quality professional services. CPAs are responsible for complying with all applicable CPE requirements, rules and regulations of state boards of accountancy, as well as those of membership associations and other professional organizations.
BEST is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
