San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 20, 2013 -- Novel-writers, novice and expert alike—take note.
Join us on October 25-27, 2013, as bestselling author Alicia Dunams and long-time writing coach Beth Barany combine their expertise to offer the highly anticipated Bestseller in a Weekend for Fiction Writers workshop for the very first time. Dunams, who is the mastermind behind the popular Bestseller in a Weekend coaching workshop for nonfiction authors, is proud to announce the expansion of her program into the oft-requested realm of genre fiction.
The intensive program, which takes place via live webinar sessions, is accepting writers of young adult literature, romance, science fiction, erotica, and novellas for one info-packed weekend this October. Topics will cover the full range of the writing and publishing experience, from idea development to distribution, and will include little-known marketing strategies to shoot one’s novel to bestseller status. Dunams and Barany’s inaugural session of Bestseller in a Weekend for Fiction Writers comes at the perfect time for writers who are preparing for National Novel Writing Month (also known as NaNoWriMo), which occurs annually from November 1-30. During this month, participants of NaNoWriMo, or “Wrimos,” as they call themselves, challenge themselves to write every day with the goal of reaching 50,000 words on their manuscripts by the end of day on November 30th; 340,000 writers participating in 2012.
Some writers plan their novel in detail with charts, timelines, and pages of notes, while “pantsers” choose to fly by the seat of their pants, adopting characters and settings as they come to mind. No matter the method, however, both planners and pantsers gain invaluable insight from the advice of seasoned fellow writers. Beth Barany, the other half of the duo responsible for the new Bestseller in a Weekend fiction program, has been coaching authors on writing, editing, and publishing their work for 12 years. Her own list of works includes books such as The Writer's Adventure Guide: 12 Stages to Writing Your Book and Twitter for Authors: Social Media Book Marketing Strategies for Shy Writers.
Writers are invited to get a sneak peek of the full Bestseller in a Weekend fiction experience by registering for an hour-long webinar on How to Write a Novel in a Weekend.
In this free 60-minute presentation, Barany will reveal:
• The key elements of a compelling plot. (They may not be what you think!)
• The benefits of knowing your characters thoroughly.
• How to organize your time to write your novel quickly.
• How to sell your book to agents, editors, and most importantly, readers.
Interested parties may register for this no-cost session, which can be accessed online from anywhere around the world, at this link: How to Write a Bestseller in a Weekend.
