The impetuous for this exciting new feature has been the changes announced by Google to Chrome Webstore. Under tough new requirements which will come into force next month, it will become compulsory for extensions to be approved and available in the web store to be made available to users. Only those extensions passing the Chrome Webstore checks will be valid for use. With these new guidelines, many developers are expected to run into problems with the distribution of their branded extension.
