Bethany Hamilton to Greet Fans at Hansen Surfboards in Encinitas, CA on Thursday, August 1
Encinitas, CA (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- Bethany Hamilton, a pro surfer, role model, and source of inspiration to many through her story, will greet fans at Hansen Surfboards, located at 1105 S. Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas, Calif., Thursday, August 1, during the debut event of her Bethany Hamilton Limited Edition Signature Sandal by Cobian. Fans will get a chance to greet Hamilton between 6 to 7 p.m. when she’ll autograph posters. Eager fans can arrive earlier, at 5 p.m., to enjoy free music and barbecue, and stay until 8 p.m. to give everyone a chance to get through the lines to pre-order the signature sandal.
"I live in sandals, so I'm excited about my signature Cobian sandal!” said Hamilton, Cobian Ambassador and inspiration for the Bethany Hamilton Limited Edition Signature Sandal. “It's fun to be able to share a little bit of what I like to wear in my daily life."
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this signature sandal will be donated to “Friends of Bethany,” a non-profit organization supporting shark attack survivors and traumatic amputees.
In addition to “Friends of Bethany,” Hamilton partnered with Cobian in the Feet Angels initiative. According to Chris Peck, Sales and Marketing Event Coordinator at Cobian, “We'll be sending sandals all over the world through the Feet Angels project. Cobian donated over 8,000 pairs of sandals to be delivered internationally through multiple like-minded partners. Bethany is championing the project through inviting her followers to offer a ‘message of hope' to accompany each pair of sandals delivered.”
